Cakestoindia will deliver the products to the recipient according to the delivery option chosen by the User when placing an order. Delivery times are dependent on the delivery address you provide. Cakestoindia offers Three delivery options to customers: Fixed Time Deliveries, Midnight & Standard Delivery.
Cakestoindia charges a nominal fee to customers who choose fixed-time delivery & Midnight Delivery. These charges are displayed on the webpage when you select the delivery time. Cakestoindia Fixed Time Delivery policy requires that your product be delivered within the time frame you choose. However, Cakestoindia cannot guarantee delivery. This is because Cakestoindia can not control factors beyond its control (Force Majeure Events). These include travel delays caused by courier partners or transporters, weather conditions, strikes, lockdown, and other unforeseen circumstances. We will contact you in such instances. For updates, please check your e-mails regularly. Flowers can be delivered fully bloomed or semi-bloomed. We will attempt delivery once because cakes are perishable. We cannot redirect the delivery to another address. We recommend that you place your order at the least five days before any major event or festival.
Hand delivered products cannot be shipped with courier products. These products may not reach the recipient in two days or at different times.
Minimum and Maximum Delivery Timeline:
- Orders must be received by Cakestoindia prior to 6:00 PM, Monday -Sunday, IST, for same-day standard delivery.
- Orders must be received by Cakestoindia prior to 6:30 PM, Monday -Sunday, IST, for same-day delivery.
- Orders for same-day delivery at midnight must be received by Cakestoindia prior to 7:00 PM, Monday – Sunday, IST.
The delivery time requested is not binding. The estimated delivery time will depend on availability and destination. Delivery could take longer because of:
- Weather disasters
- Political disturbances
- Unexpected circumstances
We will contact you immediately in such instances. For updates, please check your e-mails regularly. We recommend that you place your orders at least five days before major events. Hand delivered products cannot be shipped with courier products.
We will only attempt delivery once for perishable items such as cakes and flowers. If delivery fails to take place during the attempt, the order will still be charged and no re-delivery will be allowed. The following cases will be considered when we consider an order:
- False shipping/delivery address
- Not available for the recipient
- Premises locked
- Refusal to accept delivery by the recipient
In case if the recipient is not available, he/she can inform the delivery person to deliver the order to the gate/reception/neighbour. In the event of a dispute regarding delivery, proof of delivery will be provided. For products delivered by hand, deliveries are made on Sundays or on Public Holidays.
The order will be cancelled if there is not someone available at the shipping address to take delivery. In such instances, there are no refunds, cancellations or liability. As mentioned above, we will do our best to make sure that you are satisfied.
- To schedule a delivery time, call the recipient.
- Leave a note asking the recipient to contact the florist to arrange a delivery.
- Place the arrangement/bloom in a protected area of your home (porch or garage, or any other entrance).
- Place the arrangement with a neighbor, and leave a note on the door of the recipient with this information.
Midnight Deliveries
Delivery will take place on the delivery date chosen, subject to all other terms in the Shipping Disclaimer. Notice: The delivery date must be chosen at least one day before the occasion.
Delivery to Hospitals Policy
Our Cakestoindia florists are skilled in delivering flowers to hospitals. Please include the following information when placing an order:
- Name of the hospital
- The full address of the hospital
- Phone number of the hospital
- Name of the recipient
- Number of the room or ward
Most hospitals prohibit florists from delivering to individual rooms. Therefore, we will ship your order according to facility procedures. Many ICU patients are prohibited from receiving flowers. Before placing any orders, please check the hospital’s guidelines.
Delivery to Hotels Policy
Our florists are skilled at delivering flowers to hotels. Please make sure to include the following information:
- Hotel name
- The full address of the hotel
- Phone number of the recipient as well as the hotel
- Name of the recipient
- Number of the recipient’s room
- If applicable, name of the tour company
The order will not be accepted if the recipient does not check in at the hotel by the delivery date. The order will be considered executed if the recipient has not checked out by the delivery date.
Delivery to Wedding Halls/Marriages Policy
We may not be able guarantee delivery of ordered items to Wedding Ceremonies/ Marriage Halls. We will however ensure delivery to the responsible host.
Delivery to Remote Locations and Towns
Only cities included in our database can receive orders. Delivery to remote areas depends on the availability and location of our associates or stores. We cannot guarantee delivery times for these locations. Please note that cakes, flowers, and other perishable items are sourced locally at the delivery address. It is possible that deliveries of natural plants, flowers and cakes may not be available to such addresses.
National holidays are not considered holiday days. Orders for delivery on or around these days will be delivered the next business day. If a weather condition or other impediment prevents the delivery, Cakestoindia will call to inform you.
Deemed Delivery
Cakestoindia will only attempt delivery once for any order, regardless of its category or class. If delivery is delayed for any reason, Cakestoindia will charge you the full amount and there will be no redelivery. The order will be considered as executed in the following cases (Deemed Delivery).
- Shipping/delivery address incorrect
- Not available for the recipient
- Premises locked
- Refusal to accept delivery by the recipient
If the recipient is not available at their address, our delivery boy will try to contact the user and ask if it would be possible for him to deliver the product to the gate/reception/neighbour of the recipient. We do not contact recipients in these circumstances as it could surprise them. Cakestoindia will not entertain cancellations, refunds, or modifications in these cases; we ask that you verify the availability of the recipient before placing an order.
Upon delivery, the delivery personnel will ask the recipient for an acknowledgment of delivery. If the recipient does not accept delivery or provide an acknowledgment of delivery, Cakestoindia representative will request that User send an e-mail to Customer Service confirming receipt of the product. This is a sufficient proof of delivery for any dispute with a customer.
